We love our Loyal Bitches. They keep the community alive, and we’re lucky to have their wise heads shouldering the burden of the Kitchen Bitch.
Our Bitches are hand-picked by the KB team, and you can learn more about them right here:
QUEENIE
Kitchen Bitching Founder and Editor-in-Chief Queenie has an eye for a good bake – not that everything necessarily goes to plan. A stickler for not sticking to the rules – expect the weird, the wonderful and a few well-timed disasters! Queenie is also the Editor-in-Chief and Founder of DIGITAL bungalow and live.love.space, Director of Social Media at Drinking Classes, is the Global Gin and Afternoon Tea Ambassador for G And TeaTime and is a Blogging, Copywriting and Social Media Consultant at KAPOW Consulting. Oh, and she tweets as @DigiBungalow.
MISS BO
Miss Bo is our resident child baker. A keen artist and all-round mini eccentric, Miss Bo keeps the rest of the KB gang young (and on their toes!).
PAPPA D
Pappa D is our suave, savoury Signoir. Pappa D makes the finest Penne al’arrabiata outside of Italy, and isn’t afraid to wield a pan when the mood takes him. Don’t tell anyone, but he also thinks he’s got a cupcake recipe to rival Delia’s! He’s one half of DIGITAL bungalow and tweets as @BWDdrj.
Pappa D’s photography can be viewed at his Flickr page.
DOLLY
Copywriter by day, kitchen whizz by night, Dolly has a penchant for fancy cupcake cases, an uncontrollable love of cocktails and edible glitter, and a preoccupation for tea parties (fuelled by a love of Alice in Wonderland). Dubbed a feeder by all that know her, Dolly whips up the best Oreo cookie cake in town, a pretty mean flourless chocolate cake, and the world’s most booze-infused cottage pie. You can hear more from Dolly on Twitter or visit her blog http://whiterabbitsandhungryhabits.wordpress.com/.
PANDA BEAR
Panda Bear is an oven fanatic with a penchant for phallic-shaped scones. When it comes to super foods and avoiding sugar, Panda Bear is your oracle.
VEGGIE BITCH
Veggie Bitch is one of the biggest promoters of meat-free living and loving in the UK … perhaps the world. With ideas and suggestions to veganise just about any recipe Veggie Bitch likes to keep things simple and fast preferring to spend more time enjoying food than making it.
BARBIE
Aussie import and incredibly amateur cook, Barbie’s idea of a perfect meal was formerly avocado and aoli on rice cakes. Now expanding her kitchen horizons and seeking her inner domestic goddess, she is out to try and test her Mum’s recipes and hopefully create some of her own on the way. Her main goals include setting as little fires as possible, finding the perfect spoon rest (and what the heck it’s for) and not becoming too much of a whiz so that her boyfriend still makes his famous stir fry!
MR STEW
Recruiter by trade and man-cook for fun, Mr Stew likes to experiment with fresh ingredients for maximum flavour and minimum fuss. Passionate about meat, nothing makes him happier than slicing through a juicy piece of steak that has been shown some respect. He’s a little grumpy about the sugar and salt in processed food, and is never one for following strict recipes. Oh, and his sticky ribs truly are to die for.
KEYBOARD HOUSEWIFE
Vicky was educated at the School of Hard Knocks, graduated from the University of Life, and has spent the past thirteen years mothering a brace of children, a flock of chickens, a slither of snakes, and a single sausage-dog (the ultimate kitchen bitch). She relishes the daily challenge of cooking well-balanced family food but rarely plans ahead, preferring the Ready Steady Cook approach to mealtimes. Vicky’s daily blog is the answer to every mother’s prayer “Oh God, what shall I cook tonight?”, providing inspiration for fuss-free-fresh-food in the least time possible – yumyumbubblegum.blogspot.com
